Terms & Conditions of Rental

 

  1. A booking deposit of 25% of the total rental (or €100 euro if 25% of the rental is less) is payable at the time of the making the booking. The outstanding balance of the rental must be paid in full four weeks prior to arrival. If a booking is being made within four weeks of the date of arrival, full payment of the rental must be paid when making the booking. A reservation cannot be guaranteed if the full payment is not received in time.
  2. The standard weekly booking commences on a Saturday afternoon and finishes on the following Saturday morning.
  3. Every effort will be made to have your accommodation ready for occupancy after 5pm on the day of arrival. Vacating guests are therefore asked to check out by 10 am on the day of departure, to allow sufficient time to prepare for incoming guests. This is allow us meet the requirement of the Failte Ireland Covid-19 safety Charter.
  4. Due to the need for sanitization of the cottage after guests leave, we require longer time to prepare the cottage for incoming guests. Check in times will consequently been much later in the day. We will advise me when we are emailing you directions.
  5. The number of guests stated on the reservation form must not be exceeded. Under no circumstances should the maximum capacity of the accommodation be exceeded.
  6. The management may visit the accommodation at any reasonable time.
  7. Smoking is forbidden in the cottage and all guests are requested to honour this rule in the interest of all our guests and their families.
  8. Pets are not allowed.
  9. The management will not accept responsibility for personal belongings being lost, damaged or stolen from the property during the rental period or after checkout.
  10. Guests are obliged to maintain the property in a clean and tidy condition at all times and to leave the property in the same condition that they found it on the day of arrival, with the exception of the bed linen which will be laundered after each occupancy. Particular attention should be paid not to leave a soiled cooker on departure.
  11. Any accidental breakage or misplaced articles must be reported to management before checkout.
  12. Deductions will be made from the security deposit or invoiced if necessary, for any of the following (a) any breakages or misplaced items or damage to the property and its contents by any of the occupants or guests, during the rental period, established after check out of the property; (b) a cleaning charge if the property is not left in the same condition as on the day of arrival; (c) for delays in checking out after 10 am on the day of departure unless otherwise agreed with management beforehand and (d) any other expenses deemed necessary by the management as compensation for damage or outstanding expenses resulting from the rental of the property.
  13. Electricity is charged on a metered basis and must be paid for prior to departure or by arrangement with the management.
  14. In the event of a booking having to be cancelled, notification must be sent in writing. Cancellation charges will be applied as follows: - greater that 28 days prior to arrival 25% of the rental will be charged. 15 - 28 days (50%); 7 - 14 days (75%) and less than 7 days (100%). It is the responsibility of the renter to have his or her own travel insurance.        If you have to cancel as a result of Governemnt restrictions, we will either refund your payment(s) less a 5% admin free which covers the cost of fees charged by our payment partner to facilitate credit or debit card payments or we will re-schedule your booking to another time period, giving you full credit to the value of payments you have made.
  15. The management reserves that right at any time to refuse or cancel a reservation for (a) non-compliance with these terms and conditions and (b) for untruths in the completion of the reservation form.
  16. The occupants of the property must not be the cause of annoyance or be a nuisance by way of noise or other behaviour unacceptable to others using the facilities or to neighbouring residents.
  17. Parking regulations of each site must not be exceeded. Given the limited parking spaces available, a maximum of two cars will be allowed for a three bedroomed (type B) cottage and a maximum of one car for a Type A cottage.
